History of School

Mater Dei College was established in 1925 by Mother Bernard Teresa. There was a wooden building, which was modified as a bedroom for students, lobby, church, and office. Sisters also stayed in this building. The basement was used as a canteen.

The curriculum based on English program. There was KG. Class which are FORM I - FORM V. The course had 2 majors, one was English language and another one was French language.

In 1958, new building was built for the increasing number of students. The wooden building was replaced by another building.

In 1967, alumni association helped in building a new meeting hall for our school.

Gymnasium was finished in 1976 by corporation of alumni association in occasion of 50 years anniversary of Mater Dei College.

Mater Dei College applied the new program of curriculum as stated in the rule by Ministry of Education as follows: -

Primary School:P.1 - P.6
Secondary School:M.1 - M.3
High School:M.4 - M.6
